2024 was a big year for our newsletter!
We crossed the 10,000 subscribers milestone, wrote 146 emails & 137 posts, and exceeded 600k views! It gave us the opportunity to connect with an incredible audience. This year, we covered so many exciting AI releases, groundbreaking startups, and innovative products, and we couldn’t have done it without your support. Thank you for reading, engaging, and growing with us!
Here are our favorite posts of the year:

Now let's discuss the top AI projects of the year!
Company | OpenAI
Of course, it's OpenAI.
To be honest, I wanted to name someone unexpected. But by combining circumstances, products, and events (thank you, 12 Days of OpenAI), Sam Altman's company comes out on top. Think about it, in the last 12 months, we've gotten:
Sora
Canvas
GPT-4o & o1
ChatGPT Search
And those are just the major products. Plus, OpenAI did a brilliant thing, and thanks to 12 Days, it is associated with the top AI brand of the year.
Great work and we look forward to new achievements next year!

Video Generator | Kling AI
Now, let's talk about specific tools.
It’s not by chance that I want to start with text-to-video models. Besides the fact that it's easiest to see the rate of progress, this trend has essentially taken shape for 2024. The active phase of the race started with the announcement of Sora, and now, when (Sora has been released to the public) the year is ending, we can summarize the results.
And... Well, the best video generator is Kling AI. Among all the models we tested this year, it showed the best performance. Kling is suitable for those who just want to try video generation and those who are ready to use AI in their work. The company has released several iterations of its platform, which now creates videos in 1080p and 30 seconds length. To learn more about Kling, follow this post:
I'm sure many people expected to see Sora as the year's big reveal here. Unfortunately, Sora doesn't offer something incredible.
Search Engine | Perplexity
Search engines were slightly less important but still a trend this year. We got Google AI Overview (temporarily) and ChatGPT Search while Microsoft, Perplexity, and others continued to develop their models. Picking the best one here is difficult, but our choice still falls on Perplexity. Let me explain why it’s not ChatGPT Search.
Search from OpenAI is good; it handles all essential tasks. But while ChatGPT Search was just released this year and feels like a rather raw product, Perplexity has already mastered the market and is gradually gaining new features. This makes it a more attractive solution for professionals, creators, and entrepreneurs. And that's why we consider Perplexity the AI search engine of the year.
I tried to explain my love for Perplexity in detail in this post:
And here you will learn all the essential things about AI search engines:

Chatbot | ChatGPT
We started by naming OpenAI Company of the Year, but it has already lost two nominations. It's time to fix that.
ChatGPT has been and continues to be a benchmark of a valuable AI tool. It can be used both as an entry point into the world of AI and as a professional platform for solving complex problems. With the upgrade to GPT-4o, the chatbot has reached a new level, and with the release of the o1 reasoning model (for time), it has become an unattainable leader.
In addition, you can now access ChatGPT Pro, which combines the best that OpenAI offers at the moment. No one else offers anything like this.
On a personal note, my favorite this year was Grok. Maybe it is more suitable for the “Controversy of the Year,” but my experience showed that Grok performs all the basic features and just good for daily tasks. Who knows, maybe next year?
Dev Tool | Cursor AI
The top dev tool of the year, according to Creators AI, is Cursor. It does a great job as a coding buddy due to its AI-based code completion, real-time error detection, and ability to understand natural language commands. This makes it a top choice in 2024, whether you're a beginner or a seasoned pro. If you doubt our selection, check out the reviews from creators and developers. A significant portion of them are thrilled.
If you don't like Cursor, check out the second contender, GitHub Copilot. It has proven to be a good helper in coding proposals and performing tasks in various editors, including Visual Studio Code and JetBrains IDE.
Image Generator | Stability AI
Stability AI remains the best provider of image generators. And its latest model, Stable Diffusion 3.5, is really lovely. It can create quality images with less effort from you. The primary bonus is that different versions suit various needs, whether you want speed or high resolution.
Another great thing about Stability AI is that it's open-source. Anyone can modify it to fit their own style. You can also run it on your computer, which gives you more control over your creations.
That said, Midjourney, Dalle-3, and others haven’t disappeared. They're still great solutions that have improved noticeably in 2024.
Another notable tool is Frames, developed by Runway. This one produces incredibly realistic images in multiple styles. If you want to maximize the level of quality, you should try it.
Music Generator | Suno AI
Not the most popular product category, but still important to many users.
Suno AI is making waves in the music industry as the go-to music generator of 2024. What truly excites me about Suno AI is its ability to transform simple text prompts into fully realized songs, complete with vocals and instrumentation. This tool allows you to compose professional tracks, regardless of background.
If you want to create a heartfelt ballad or an upbeat electronic track, Suno AI can cater to various genres, with particular strengths in blues and electronic music. The recent updates have improved audio quality and lyric generation, making the songs catchy.
By the way, we have a post about how creators use AI to make music. And... yeah, sometimes they go to jail for it.
Opening of the Year | NotebookLM
In preparing this post, we decided to give NotebookLM a separate category. That’s how much we liked this tool. While this platform can be categorized as a chatbot, NotebookLM actually feels like a brand-new solution.
For those who missed it all, NotebookLM is an AI from Google customized to work with data sources like PDFs, website links, YouTube videos, and more. This platform can summarize your content, analyze specific snippets, and synthesize disparate data. For example, if you need to study a complex topic, you can find relevant YouTube videos, upload the links to NotebookLM, and get a useful compilation.
And this is really the opening of 2024!
Predictions for 2025
Looking ahead, I want to make some ambitious predictions for 2025. They are based on what we have seen during the year and personal wishes. And it will be interesting to check in with them 12 months from now.
Interactive Worlds & AI Video Games
AI is already creating familiar types of content that we consume unilaterally, such as texts, music, images, and videos. However, developers struggle with interactive entertainment, such as video games. I believe that will change in 2025.
I think it's a pretty good foundation to look forward to a new round of AI development within the video game industry! And it’s breathtaking.
Long AI-Generated Videos
I see another major milestone in the AI world as a new level of generated video. We can already create music and clips, it's time for movies and TV series. There are enough reasons for this to happen exactly in 2025. More and more startups are partnering with movie studios, and big-name filmmakers are accepting the terms of play.
Runway has entered into a long-term partnership with Lionsgate
Asteria partnered with Moonvalley to build an AI for Hollywood
Sounds like a bid for a massive experiment.
Advanced Developer Level Coding
And, of course, there's the coding. To be honest, I'm skeptical about AIs that promise to completely supplant developers (just remember all those funny guys trying to create anything with Cursor). But that doesn't mean copilots will remain at the level of auxiliary tools. AI developers for coding are raising more and more money lately, and their models are getting better at what they do.
AI coding assistant Cursor raised $100M at a $2.5B valuation
Magic raised $320M to build an AI coworker for code generation
All of the events described above happened within the last five months!
As 2024 comes to a close, we celebrate a year of groundbreaking AI advancements that redefined what’s possible. Thank you for your support and curiosity throughout this journey. Here’s to an even more innovative year ahead!
