TikTok Unveils Symphony Creative Studio
TikTok announced the release of Symphony Creative Studio for all TikTok for Business users. With this platform, you can create, transform, and scale your content using a bunch of AI tools. It also allows you to turn product information or URLs into videos, add a digital avatar with a scripted voiceover, or localize existing videos into new languages. The idea is that creators can do all the work within a single app.
Let's elaborate a bit more on the main features.
Video Generation
Symphony Creative Studio's main offering is fast video creation with native product integration. The user enters a description of the video, a link to the brand's external website, accompanying images, and a short prompt and then receives a ready-to-publish video. TikTok's AI draws inspiration from its content base (i.e., viral videos of users) and uses licensed assets - videos, images, sounds, and avatars sourced from partners like Billo and Getty Images.
In this way, the company promises a high-quality and relevant experience for both parties—partners and average users who will see ads in recommendations. At the same time, TikTok will not mislead the audience, so all such content will be marked as “created with AI.”

Digital Avatars
The Symphony Digital Avatars feature works in two modes. In the first, standard mode, TikTok offers ready-made avatars featuring licensed actors speaking more than 30 languages. In the second, you can create your own digital character, customizing its style, behavior, voice, and even location. One of TikTok's partners, Vodafone, has already tested stock avatars in its campaigns.
The Generate Avatar is only available to select advertisers right now. You must contact TikTok representatives and go through a moderation process to create your character.
Translate & Dub Videos
TikTok's new model also promises to break down language barriers. This tool allows you to upload an original video in one language, select the languages requiring translation, and then publish the content in multiple languages simultaneously (for example, in different regions where your product is available). The original voice and intonation are retained. TikTok also offers lip sync, which matches mouth movements on screen to different scenarios.
Voggsmedia has used the solution to translate English-language content into Spanish, doubling conversion rates and reducing CPA by 50%.
Other AI Features
The video editor has also been updated. Users can optimize existing content with AI by adding new styles, music, effects, transitions, and more. The company expects to make it possible to generate high-quality videos without any skills. Soon, the platform will get support for other features like script generation and refresh videos, which can be used to edit published content.
I won't pretend to be an expert on how content should be promoted on TikTok, Shorts, and other platforms. However, as a regular user, I can say that the features available are impressive, especially the avatars, which look very realistic.
Looking forward to practical examples!
News Of The Week 🌍
OpenAI Nears Launch of AI Agent
The first OpenAI AI agents could appear as early as January. Bloomberg reports that the company is close to launching a platform codenamed Operator. This software will be able to perform direct queries on the user's computer. Insiders say that in the first phase, OpenAI will deploy Operator as a preview via an API for developers and later open up full access to all users. By the way, the release date coincides with the recent announcement of chief product officer Kevin Weil. Last month at Dev Day, he said: “I think 2025 is going to be the year that agentic systems finally hit the mainstream.”
Details are still scarce, but what Bloomberg describes is pretty much reminiscent of Computer Use, introduced by Anthropic a few weeks earlier.
We have a post dedicated to this product:
Apple Releasing Wall-Mounted Smart Home Tablet With AI
Finally, an iPad for your wall. And it's AI-enabled. Mark Gurman (Apple's most respected product insider) reports that the company is preparing to release an iPad-like device designed for home management. It will get a 6-inch display, camera, and Siri and Apple Intelligence support. Mounted on a wall or table, the device will use AI to adjust air conditioners, smart bulbs, and more. The operating system will resemble a mixture of Apple Watch and the recently launched StandBy mode for the iPhone.
Perhaps I'm being overly skeptical, but right now this gadget looks like a nominee for the title of Apple's most useless device. From the description it sounds like a stripped down version of the iPad with a small screen. Although, maybe Apple's presentation will change my mind. Let's just wait and see.
Grok-2 Might Be Available for Free On X Soon
The democratization of AI continues. In recent weeks, rumors began that chatbot Grok-2 would soon get a free version, and TechCrunch journalists have confirmed the information. Currently, X is testing Grok for free users, at least in New Zealand. According to one user, Grok is now running with restrictions: no more than 10 queries within two hours for the Grok-2 model, 20 queries within two hours for the Grok-2 mini model, and three image analysis questions per day.
In addition, to use Grok for free, your account must have been created at least seven days ago, and your phone number must be linked to it.
In my opinion, this news is a really good development for active X users. Grok has become an important part of my life over the past few weeks. I can't say it offers anything innovative (rather works on the same level as ChatGPT or Claude), but as a hub for finding content within a single social network, it's an indispensable tool.

Final Cut Pro 11 Gets AI-Powered Features
Apple has officially released Final Cut Pro 11, marking a major update to its video editing software after more than a decade since the release of Final Cut Pro X. The main feature of the new version is the integration of AI. Specifically, Final Cut has Magnetic Mask, which isolates objects in video without a green screen, and Transcribe to Captions, which generates subtitles from audio using its own language model.
If you're an active video editor, there's definitely something for you to explore, because the update includes many other features like automatic video customization for social media formats, audio noise isolation, and more.
ChatGPT Can Now Read Some of Apps on Mac
The desktop ChatGPT for macOS has learned how to interact with other applications on your computer. OpenAI announced that the update is aimed at developers: the chatbot can now read code in VS Code, Xcode, TextEdit, Terminal, and iTerm2. When you enable the new feature, ChatGPT automatically sends the section of code you're working on via its own to other applications. That said (unlike Cursor or GitHub Copilot), ChatGPT can't yet write code directly to developer apps on your behalf.
While the update is yours for Mac users only, Windows PC owners got a nice release this week. Previously, the ChatGPT Windows app only worked with a ChatGPT subscription, but now it's available to everyone.
