Gemini, Google’s GPT-4 rival, Inching Closer to Launch
Google is set to launch Gemini, a powerful AI model aiming to compete with GPT-4.
Google is nearing the release of its AI-powered GPT-4 competitor called Gemini, boasting five times greater computational power than GPT-4.
Gemini is designed for multimodal processing, handling both text and images, and may generate context-sensitive content.
Google's access to proprietary training data from various products could give Gemini an edge over competitors.
Google is also investing in other AI solutions, including Duet AI for Google Workspace and Google Bard, to enhance productivity and collaboration.
Some businesses already have access to Gemini. Gemini is designed for various applications, including chatbots, text summarization, and code generation. In response to competitors like OpenAI's ChatGPT, Google has expanded its AI offerings with Duet AI for Google Workspace and Google Bard, which provide features similar to Gemini's capabilities.
Can’t wait to see the next episode of epic Google Gemini Release.
News of the week:
OpenAI unveils DALL.E 3
DALL·E 3 is built natively on ChatGPT, which lets you use ChatGPT as a brainstorming partner and refiner of your prompts. Just ask ChatGPT what you want to see in anything from a simple sentence to a detailed paragraph.
DALL.E 3, the latest iteration of its text-to-image model, delivering a remarkable enhancement in nuanced understanding and detail compared to its predecessor, DALL.E 2. This advancement eliminates the necessity for intricate, prompt engineering.
OpenAI prioritizes safety by implementing measures such as declining requests that explicitly reference public figures by name or generate images mimicking the styles of living artists. Additionally, they've developed a provenance classifier for added security.
No more AI images with Donald Trump!? But we should be able to generate accurate texts!
From a sneak peek, we can see that images generated by DALL.E 3 allow the generation of accurate text from Prompt, which is still an issue in Midjourney.
Compared to generating an image with MidJourney, all I need to do is create an account with OpenAI, Sign up to ChatGPT Plus, access DALL.E 3's interface, and give my Prompt; it generates the image as fast as it generates written text. I don't have to sign up to Discord or purchase different plans to gain access to DALL.E 3, and DALL.E 3 generates a lot of detail as specified compared to MidJourney.
Access to DALL.E 3 is not public, and the official website says it will be launched for Plus subscribers in early October!
While waiting, play with our archive of great tools and AI tutorials for generating images. By getting App, you can seamlessly access all our previous posts.
Unveiling Microsoft’s Copilot
Microsoft is ushering in a new AI era with Microsoft Copilot, an everyday AI companion that integrates web knowledge, work data, and PC activities for enhanced assistance while prioritizing privacy and security. It will seamlessly integrate into Windows 11, Microsoft 365, Edge, and Bing. A major Windows 11 update comes with over 150 new features, including AI-powered experiences in various apps. Bing is adopting OpenAI's DALL.E 3 model for personalized search, AI-driven shopping, and improved Bing Chat Enterprise. Microsoft 365 Copilot and Microsoft 365 Chat will be available for enterprise customers on November 1, 2023.
China’s AI Battle of a Hundred Model braces for Game-Changing Showdown.
China is experiencing a proliferation of generative artificial intelligence (AI) models, with around 130 large language models (LLMs) now in the market, representing 40% of the global total. The surge in LLM development, sparked by OpenAI's ChatGPT's success, has led to concerns among investors of an impending shakeout. These models are grappling with issues like high costs, stiff competition, and a lack of viable business models. Analysts predict that only the most robust players will endure, resulting in consolidation and price wars as companies vie for users.
Microsoft’s Researchers breached 32TB of Data via SAS Token.
Cloud data security startup Wiz has identified a significant security lapse at Microsoft during a routine open-source AI training material update on GitHub, exposing 38 terabytes of private data. This data included sensitive information such as disk backups, corporate secrets, private keys, passwords, and over 30,000 internal Microsoft Teams messages.
Amazon’s Alexa to get Generative AI - Steroidal shots.
Amazon is unveiling an enhanced Alexa voice assistant powered by its Alexa large language model (LLM), promising improved conversational capabilities, contextual understanding of smart home APIs, and the ability to handle multiple requests from a single command.
Generative AI Copyright Quagmire Persists, No end in sight.
Generative AI is giving rise to copyright concerns, with authors, including George R.R. Martin, suing OpenAI for allegedly training its chatbot, ChatGPT, on their work without permission. Other companies in the generative AI space, like Runway, are also navigating this issue. Runway, which develops generative AI tools for video, is working with artists to determine the best approaches for addressing copyright concerns and exploring data partnerships to ensure compliance.
